WHat color space are you using? Have you tried a tool other than Picassa?Eric Dustrudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15132788571822510876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3398986003568466382.post-69637503372931779292009-01-09T23:26:00.000-08:002009-01-09T23:26:00.000-08:00It's a nice cut. $400 Senator?A CTO is a gel that ...It's a nice cut. $400 Senator?

A CTO is a gel that you'd put over your flash that brings the color temp close to tungsten. It stands for "Color Temp Orange" or something like that. I've got a sample kit of gels you can have next time we meet.Eric Dustrudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15132788571822510876noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3398986003568466382.post-72109426517477791762009-01-09T21:19:00.000-08:002009-01-09T21:19:00.000-08:00Jaundiced... yeah I know.. did you see my email ab...Jaundiced... yeah I know.. did you see my email about color quality on Picasa? Several of my pics on here have been "processed" by Picasa and they don't look as good as my originals. There's no jaundice on them. What up with that? And what is "cto"? And boy I wish this cut only cost $4!Tim Dustrudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11899791561119283483noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3398986003568466382.post-55310716686640599102009-01-09T21:11:00.000-08:002009-01-09T21:11:00.000-08:00Lighting was nice on subject and the ambient backg...Lighting was nice on subject and the ambient background was well lit as well. Nice mug and looks like a great 4 dollar hair cut as well, 2 dollars more than I pay.Lance Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15061819968393439208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3398986003568466382.post-38029180355603677112009-01-09T19:30:00.000-08:002009-01-09T19:30:00.000-08:00I like how you balanced the lighting with the sky ...I like how you balanced the lighting with the sky - great.

It's hard to do self-portraits isn't it? Never mind that you need something to focus on, how about holding what you think is a good expression while you wait for the self-timer?

Did you shoot this in RAW (NEF)? If so, play with white-balance a little, maybe trying tungsten which is where a 1/4 cto would be close to. My monitor is nowhere near being color corrected, but you look a little jaundiced ;)Eric Dustrudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15132788571822510876noreply@blogger.com
