July 7th - Ones and Zeros

We are plugged in & wired and we don't notice it so much until the internet goes down and then "POW!" We realize just what hardcore users we are. Today we were offline and after trying this and trying that I finally determined that our wireless router has gone to greener pastures. So we borrowed this one and sure enough, we're back online again. Looking at these wires coming out of the back of it got me thinking of "the information superhighway". Anyone remember that term?

July 6th - Readers

I was taking off my glasses as I walked down the hall tonight and I noticed their shadow on the wall as they caught the light from our mini-spot light fixture in the office. Kinda cool how part of it is shadow and part of it is focused light, brighter than it's surroundings. This is Shannon's shadow holding my glasses.

July 5th - "E"-Dock

I went down to the port docks to button up my folk's boat because it had been airing out all day, and on the way back I couldn't resist stopping to capture this floating building's image and it's reflection.

July 4th - Fireworks

This week's theme is "Tradition". And one big tradition in the USA on July 4th is FIREWORKS!!! So this is my offering for today.

July 3rd - Patriotic Cupcakes

Once again - no time for much of a photo. Very busy day today and then work went really late. We didn't get out of there til midnight, so it's already the Fourth when I'm posting this, so the photo is kinda fitting. These are the cupcakes we'll be serving at our barbeque tomorrow. (well really today I guess).

July 2nd - Sunshine

We're half way through the year. I had wanted to do a shot with a "1/2" theme today, but we were off-island and we got to mix it up with all the travelers coming to the island for the big weekend. It took us an hour and five minutes to drive the last 2 miles to the ferry dock. Yep - "D" avenue to the Anacortes ferry took 1:05. So we missed the 3:10, and had to leave the car and walk on the 5:05. Exhausted, we had dinner at Friday's Crabhouse and there we met Sunshine, this beautiful bird on his (her?) master's shoulder.

July 1st - Outlets

Funny how time gets away from you, isn't it? Especially when you have to work late. This is me just trying to shoot anything to get a photo for the day.
