Fronds

I don't know what it is about water droplets all beaded up on things that I like so much, (Leaves, branches, kiosks, corvettes) but I sure like it. Water like that just looks so natural and clean and refreshing I guess, so I can't pass it up.

Washington State Ferry at Dusk

Another beautiful day in paradise. It started out sunny and gorgeous, then got greyer and greyer (is that a word?), and then it POURED down rain this afternoon. But by evening it was beautiful again and we just happened along the waterfront when the ferry was coming in.

Beetle

Here's something else I almost stepped on. I found this little guy on the driveway. He wasn't moving very fast. In fact he wasn't moving at all. Poor little thing was dead when I found him. I didn't realize that until after I'd shot this photo (and a couple others from different angles). I was all impressed that he wasn't camera-shy at all.

Port of Friday Harbor

Here's a nighttime shot of the port docks from up above at the Legion deck. I forgot my tripod - good thing they had a railing on the deck for me to set the camera on.

Ground Cover

Probably the best thing about doing a 365 project is how it causes you to really see things around you during the day. I probably would have stepped on this without a second thought if not for this blog. (it's right where I cut through to deliver packages on Mullis Street.)

Maddy and Diego

This photo was shot back in February, but I finally got the full size gallery wrap printed to my liking and we can now give it as a gift to our good friend Yvette. This is Madison and Diego who have stayed with us a few times. So now that there is no need for surprises (she reads this blog) I can finally post this for today's photo. Wahoo!
