Day 11 - Airboat Fishing

We found a campsite just north of Corpus Christi this afternoon and went walking through the park just in time to see these fishermen arrive back at shore on this airboat.

This thing is powered by a V-8 engine driving counter-rotating props to push the boat along the water and shallows at a pretty good clip.

And it's quite loud as well, you can see a couple of the guys have ear protection.

Judging by the way they're dressed I'll bet the fish didn't even see them coming. 

No, all kidding aside, this looks like a lot of fun to me.
