Java Jive

It's pretty cool how much you start to really see the things around you when you're doing a 365... All day long, knowing in the back of your mind that you're gonna need a photo for the day, little things that would otherwise go unnoticed seem to say "Pick me! Pick me!". I almost didn't even shoot this though, until it persisted. (meaning until I saw that it wouldn't let go and just freakin' drop into my cup already...) So, finally I went to grab my camera and tripod, thinking "it won't be there when I get back", but it was. So I shot and here it is. Just natural light from the kitchen window and a 1/2 sec. exposure.

  1. It's day 3 and I'm already struggling for photo ideas. It's dark when I get home, I don't have cute kids or cute pets to fall back on... it's stuff around the house. This is a great shot though! Such a good use of something inside. I really hope by the end of this I gain some creativity! I need to start seeing things for more than what they are. Jealous.

  2. LOL oh don't be jealous! You'll get it. Just start taking pictures of whatever - put your camera up by the ceiling looking down; or on the floor looking up; right up close to something and play with depth of field. Once you start doing that, something will click...

  3. Tim,
IT just wants me to shake the coffee pot to get that last drop in my cup. Interesting our theme was kinda the same today.
