Phil, Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today so that means six more weeks of Winter. Time to warm up some tea and enjoy a good book. Either that or go play some WoW. 1/5th sec. f/5.6 iso 800.
Nice shot, I like your link, and I ahve not played WoW since the 90's. It must ahve great graphics now? My daughter was impressed you were reading a chapter book, she can't wait until she is big enough LOL
Find a "chapters" book and read to her grandpa Lance! That is how my mom taught me to love the word pictures as much as the artwork in books. Worked for my boys.
Where are you from Hotter? In the US February 2 is groundhogs day when (so the theory goes) the ground hog wakes up from his winter slumber to take a peek at the world. If it is bright and sunny on 2/2 he will see his shadow and know to go back to bed for another 6 weeks, winter isn’t through. If it is a dull day and he cannot see his shadow then winter is done. Google it.
Since this is the PNW we have six weeks of opportunities to get umbrella pictures and storms at sea... congratulations on January!!

ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued by the "seen his shadow = 6 more weeks of winter". I may be very dense but the reference has completely gone over my head.
