February 9th - Happy 100th!

My town is 100 years old today. February 9th, 1909 Friday Harbor was officially incorporated. There are celebrations going on and lots to do this year. I thought it fitting to take a picture from the harbor. 1/400th sec. f/6.3 iso 800

  1. Tim,
nice, did you sepia tone or some type of filter on the left with a gradiant to bring back to normal on the right?

Nice job of bringing the old into the new effect.

  2. Nice! I love the effect - crop a little off the bottom and it'll be perfect.

I find my self looking for the old canery...

  3. Love your blog header, by the way!

  4. Thanks Kimberley! That took a long time to figure out how to make! (But now that I know how, it wouldn't take as long a 2nd time... :) I did it with photoshop layers and ImageReady.

  5. Hi Lance, yeah I made a copy of it in Sepia with iPhoto, then pasted that as a new layer in Photoshop over the original. Made a layer mask on the new layer with a gradient, and "Voila" there it was. Then I also did a somewhat coarse gaussian blur on the sepia as well. :)
