April 27th - Liquid Blue

Deep Blue Liquid

Well I'm getting there, but man I'm impatient! This still isn't quite how I want it but it's a big improvement over my first attempt. I just need to s-l-o-w d-o-w-n, take some deep breaths and make a better set-up probably. Of course having a bit more time would help too.
1/125th sec. f/8 iso 400

>>>Edit - Couldn't stand it... I had to do some more in photoshop. Got rid of the annoying reflection at top left and straightened it. Wasn't quite level before.

  1. very clear clean shot. I wonder what it would look like at ISO100?

  5. Thanks guys! Well when I first put it up, it wasn't straight (level) and it had some distracting reflections so I did some photoshopping and now I'm happy with it. I took probably 50 shots or so. This was about #30. Macro lens, it was about 3" from the drop (75mm). White foam core behind bowl with gelled strobe bouncing off it. Bare strobe pointing right at drop for white highlights. I should try ISO 200. My camera won't go 100.

  7. Great shot and the blue gel is highly appealing.
