Two ferries came in tonight, one right after the other. The one on the right in this photo is the Evergreen State. It was the "big" ferry when I first moved here back in '71. Now it's the little ferry doing the inter-island run. The one on the left is a much newer boat called the Sealth. Neither of them is the boat I was on last night for yesterday's photo.

I love the twinkle of the lights. Interesting how the water still has the wake pattern, even at 4 second exposure. Cool.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you used one of those old 'starlight' filters. I like it. The beauty of Friday Harbor always gives me pause.
ReplyDeleteThanks - yeah I love that effect. It's not a starlight filter though, it's just from the small aperture (f/22)
ReplyDeleteLovely effect - the "star" and beautiful, warm reflections on the water.
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to pack up and head for Washington right now! I could visit my brother-in-law in Seattle!! :) Nice shot. It held me.
